ART EXHIBITION OF SEMRA OZUMERZIFON

Today we have the honor to present the art exhibition of Semra Ozumerzifon with paintings. This is an exhibition which is mainly inspired by the philosophical ideology of Mevlana, a multi-sided personality of the 13th century, who with his wise words spread unity, the unity of being, creativity and love.

The invitation of love and unity influences the inspiration of Semra from the circular motion of the whirling dervishes which express the ideology of Mevlana, dancing with Soufi sounds.

In her exhibition this universal unity is expressed in harmonious shapes and colors which reach their peak when boundaries are nonexistent. The exhibition inspires another interesting discussion. It has to do with the way an artist, like Semra, searches for inspiration inside of tradition where it is expressed through personal paths and modern forms of communication.

This serves the modern need for expression of culture as a source of inspirartion and original creation. It is exceptionally important when an artist of our time who is modern, charismatic and cosmopolitan can take traditional reaches and turn them into modern creations - symbols and new performances, like those presented in her paintings.

We hope this expressional strength and uniqueness will always be displayed in her work which encompasses esthetical harmony, passion and mature artistically creation.

SEMRA OZUMERZIFON UN RESIM SERGISI

Bugün Semra Özümerzifon'un resim sergisini sunmaktan gurur duyuyoruz. Bu sergi 13. yüzyilda yasamIs, yazIlarIyla birligi, sevgiyi, yaradIlIs birligini yaymIs, çok yönlü bir kisilik olan Mevlana'nIn felsefesinden esinlenmistir.

Semazenlerin sufi müzigi esliginde gerçeklestirdikleri sevgiye ve birlige davet eden dairesel devinimleri Semra'nIn çalIsmalarIna ilham verir. Sergide evrensel birlik ahenkli formlar ve renklerle ifade edilerek, sInIrlarIn belirsizlestigi kompozisyonlarda doruga ulasIr.

Bu sergi, bir sanatçInIn gelenegine uzanarak onu modern yaratIlarla, sembollerle ve yeni gösterilerle resimlerine sunmasI, baska bir tartIsmaya da yol açIyor: Semra gibi, zamanImIzIn modern karizmatik ve kozmopolit bir sanatçIsInIn, geleneksel kültüründen ilham alIp onu modern formlar, kisisel yorumlar ve özgün bir yaratIcIlIkla ifade etme ihtiyacina hizmet ediyor.

Estetik uyum, sevk, ve olgun sanatsal yaratIcIlIgI içeren resimlerindeki güçlü ifade ve özgünlügün her zaman devam etmesini dileriz.
